James A. Cleary

James began his legal career as a student clerk at the Utah Court of Appeals in 2017. James then moved to the private sector where he worked at various firms doing personal injury, estate planning, family law, and appeals work. While in school, James completed the litigation and dispute resolution program that included training in litigation, negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and other important legal skills.

Community Activities
When not practicing law, James enjoys spending time with his wife and family, attending Oregon State baseball and football games, and playing golf.
James is a Corvallis native having grown up in the area and graduating from Corvallis High School. He played baseball and football for Corvallis and continued his baseball career at Linfield College where the team won a National Championship during his freshman year. James returned to Corvallis for a brief stint with the Corvallis Knights and later as a coach for the Corvallis American Legion baseball program.
